Jill M. Vales, President of JMV Management Services and Executive HR Consultant, has more than 25 years of senior management experience in human resources, finance, accounting, and corporate operations and administration. She has earned the national Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. She is also a licensed Florida CPA.

Prior to beginning JMV Management, Vales was Vice President of Human Resources with ScanSource, Inc., a leading South Carolina employer with approximately 1,000 employees.  In three years under her leadership, the HR team transformed virtually every HR-related program and process.   Vales has made many presentations and facilitated training programs on a variety of human resources topics for small businesses and nonprofit organizations.  She was a finalist for the Suzanne Thaler Rising Star Award sponsored by GSA Business Journal in 2009.

She also has been a senior finance, human resources and operations executive with national travel distribution companies, including being Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Human Resources of a start-up company that completed an IPO and acquired 20 entrepreneurial companies in less than two years. Vales began her CPA career as an auditor with a “Big-Four” accounting firm, where she advanced to senior management. She served clients in services, manufacturing, hospitality, real estate, auto-rental and government industries. 

Active in the community, Vales serves on the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Governors and its Small Business of the Month Awards Committee.  She recently served on the Chamber’s Small Business Council and as chair of its Small Business Owners Forum and Sales Roundtable Steering Committees.  She also serves on the boards of the Greenville County Workforce Investment Board, Downtown Greenville Rotary Club, Centre Stage Theatre-SC and Dining for Women.  She has served in the past on the Greenville Chamber HR Leadership Forum Board, the Greenville Professional Women’s Forum Board,  the Greenville American Red Cross Finance Committee and the upstate Girl Scouts Councils’ HR Realignment Committee. 

Vales is also a member of the Greenville and national chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Karen M. Gordon, HR Consultant with HR Experts On DemandSM, has almost 20 years of human resources, business analysis and legal experience.  Karen has earned the national Professional in Human Resources certification, which signifies she possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to pass a rigorous exam demonstrating a mastery of this knowledge.  Gordon has also earned the respected Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Prior to joining HR Experts On DemandSM, she was Compensation Manager with the City of Asheville, which has almost 1,000 employees. Gordon also has experience as an HR Generalist. Early in her career she was a certified Paralegal. Gordon received a B.A. degree in Political Studies, with a minor in Finance.  In her role as HR Consultant, Gordon applies her extensive analytical, communications and research skills and experience.  Karen has been with the firm since September 2006.

Donna Connolly, HR Consultant with HR Experts On DemandSM, has over 10 years of human resources management experience. Connolly has earned the national Professional in Human Resources certification, which signifies she possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to pass a rigorous exam demonstrating a mastery of this knowledge.  Prior to joining HR Experts On DemandSM, she was Human Resources Manager with Home Depot and Reynolds Plantation in Georgia. Connolly holds an MBA degree in Leadership Development and received a bachelor degree in Human Resource Management. In her role as HR Consultant, Connolly applies her extensive experience in employee relations, recruiting, policy development and training.  Donna has been with the firm since January 2008.

Beth Love, Compensation Analyst with HR Experts On DemandSM and Financial Analyst with JMV Management Services, is a Certified Public Accountant with over ten years of accounting experience. She worked for over seven years in public accounting with two “Big-Four” accounting firms in Greenville.  Beth holds a Masters of Accounting degree, with a focus on taxation, from the University of Georgia and earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Presbyterian College.  Beth has served as Treasurer for Pendleton Place Children’s Shelter and The Alliance for Quality Education, and is active with Edwards Road Baptist Church.  In her role as Compensation Analyst, Beth applies her analytical and spreadsheet skills and works with HR Consultants to research and analyze market pay and to develop salary administration systems and incentive compensation plans.   Beth has been with the firm since February 2008.

Debie Gaudreau, Paraprofessional with HR Experts On DemandSM and Firm Administrator of JMV Management Services, has more than 30 years of administrative and professional sales experience.  In her career, she has worked with small businesses, professional service and sales businesses (domestic and international), and nonprofit organizations.  She possesses the ability to work across cultures, understands the needs of nonprofits, and is experienced in managing small businesses.  Active in the community, Gaudreau was a key player in her community’s enactment of its initial non-smoking law in the 1980s.  She also raised funds for a youth at risk group, and participated in a hunger organization’s fundraising campaign.  Gaudreau also manages a portfolio of rental property that she and her husband own.  In her role as Paraprofessional, Debie assists HR Consultants with administrative aspects of recruiting, employee handbook and records management projects.  In her role as Firm Administrator, Gaudreau applies her experience in organization, management, and communication.  Debie has been with the firm since April 2009.
