Jennifer B. Floyd

Jennifer started her career in Human Resources shortly after graduating from Clemson University with a BS in Marketing.  After spending two years in sales and figuring out her passion was elsewhere, she accepted a role in recruiting with an international search firm.  Immediately drawn to employment law issues, Jennifer spent 3 years helping companies of all sizes find needed talent in finance, accounting and administrative positions.  Her recruitment experience led her to a manufacturer in the Northeast as a Human Resources Generalist supporting union and non-union employees across the US.  Missing the southeastern region of the country, Jennifer and her husband headed home where she joined Canal Insurance Company and spent the next 13 years.  In her role as VP, Human Resources, Jennifer oversaw all aspects of HR including talent acquisition, total rewards, employee benefits, organizational development and employee relations.  She joined ScanSource, Inc., a global distributor as HR Director and managed the domestic HR operations located in AZ, KS, FL, NY, GA and SC.  Most recently, Jennifer served as VP, HR for MidCountry Financial Corp., a consumer finance and banking institution.  Her specialties are strategic and business planning, benefit plan management, organizational development, compliance and investigative work.  Jennifer and her family are South Carolina residents and are proud to live in the most beautiful area of the country!

Debbie Spearman

Debbie has extensive human resources experience in technology, manufacturing and logistics industries.  She served as Vice President of Human Resources for NuVox, a telecommunications business with locations in 16 Southeast, Midwest and Gulf Coast states. 

Debbie has a deep understanding of employee relations and the importance of sound policies and procedures, well-trained managers, clear communications, rewards and recognition and performance management.  She has extensive expertise in start-ups, mergers and acquisitions and the myriad transition activities involved in these business transactions.  She knows how to work at both strategic and tactical levels and understands the challenges that can occur with differing cultures, value systems, and management philosophies.

Debbie has served on the Board for the Greenville Society of Human Resource Management (GSHRM), the Board of the Simpsonville Chamber of Commerce, the Board for Greenville Technical College’s Technical Scholarship Program, and the Greenville County School-to-Work task force.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina. Debbie joined the firm in 2011.

Jim Kerr

Jim brings over three decades of private industry and higher education HR leadership experience to HREOD. He is a seasoned HR professional, having spent his career in progressively challenging roles in manufacturing, sales and distribution, engineering, and higher education. While he has a well-rounded HR background, he has devoted much of his career to designing and managing performance-based compensation systems and incentive programs in organizations with employee populations of 200 to over 40,000.

Prior to joining HREOD, Jim served as the Associate Chief Human Resources Officer for Total Rewards at Clemson University, which included the oversight of the university’s compensation, benefits/well-being, and organizational development functions. Jim has also served in HR roles with the University of South Florida, Sypris Electronics, Conagra Foods, and Whirlpool Corporation.   

Jim is a graduate of Hiram College and has earned the SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications as well as a Blackbelt certification from Whirlpool Corporation.

Becky Johnson

Becky Johnson is a native of the Upstate, of SC and a graduate from Clemson University. Becky began her career as a recruiter for a staffing firm where she specialized in recruiting for businesses and job placement for individuals in a variety of industries. In this work, Becky developed a love for relationship building and a desire to help a business grow and innovate. For over 15 years, Becky has worked in all aspects of Human Resources, Employee Benefits, and Office Management. She has a love of working with small businesses and has a focus on Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Benefits, Policy and Process Development, and enhancing Company Culture. Becky’s goal is to be a valued resource for employers and their employees. She is an expert in benefits compliance, has maintained ACA Marketplace certification, and holds an active South Carolina Life and Health Insurance Producers License and a Series 65 securities license.
